Aptilo Networks signed an agreement to buy Service Factory, which is a division of Birdstep Technology. The acquisition strengthens Aptilo’s position in the wireless service management and policy control areas, said the company. The company also announced Norvestor V L.P. made an investment in the company by acquiring shares previously held by financial investors. Norvestor is now the majority shareholder in the company.
CalAmp Corp. reported results for its third fiscal quarter, which ended Nov. 30. The company reported revenues of $29.6 million, compared with revenues of $30.7 million for the same period last year. Net loss was $200,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with net loss of $1.3 million, or 5 cents per share, during the corresponding period a year ago.
