The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4:00 p.m. New York time.
The IPC index fell 0.1 percent to 38,131.47.
America Movil SAB (AMXL MM), the wireless carrier controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim, gained 0.2 percent to 35.03 pesos. The company acquired 1.03 million Carso Global Telecom SAB shares for 64 pesos each, giving it a stake of 99.96 percent in Carso Global, America Movil said in a statement to Mexico’s stock exchange.
Genomma Lab Internacional SAB (LABB MM) climbed 0.9 percent to 29.95 pesos. The company was rated new “outperform” at Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer SA by analyst Miguel Ulloa.
Grupo Televisa SA (TLEVICPO MM), the world’s largest Spanish-language broadcaster, dropped 1.4 percent to 64.16 pesos. The company had its rating reduced to “hold” from “buy” by Banco Santander, which cited valuation concern.
