Joseph J. Euteneuer has been named CFO at Sprint Nextel. Euteneuer is taking over for Bob Brust, who is retiring. He currently is executive vice president and CFO at Qwest Communications and will join Sprint Nextel following the completion of the proposed merger between Qwest and CenturyLink. Prior to that, Euteneuer was executie vice president and CFO of XM Satellite Radio Holidings.
Verizon Wirelesss said Christine Berberich is the new president of its New England region, succeeding Ken Dixon, who was named president of the company’s Midwest operations. Berberich has been with Verizon since 1993, starting as a customer service supervisor and eventually becoming area vice president of customer service.
Openwave Systems Inc. appointed Brian Beattie to its board of directors. Beattie is chief financial officer at Synopsys and has or than 25 years of financial and management experience.
