The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 1:44 p.m. New York time.
The IGBC Index rose 0.2 percent to 15,384.47, while the Colcap Index increased 0.2 percent to 1,826.74.
Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota SA (ETB CB) rose for a second day, surging 5.7 percent to 708 pesos, the most since Sept. 27. The state-run telecommunications provider serving Colombia’s capital rose after ETB President Fernando Carrioza told La Republica newspaper that the district of Bogota should sell the company’s shares “as soon as possible.” ETB’s directors said yesterday the company should be put up for sale.
