Verizon Wireless expands Unlimited Any Mobile

Verizon Wireless (VZ) expanded the still limited availability of promotional rate plans that provides unlimited calls and messaging to any mobile device regardless of carrier. The plans, dubbed Unlimited Any Mobile, are now available to customers in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi, having been previously available only in portions of Tennessee, Texas, Florida and Alabama.
The plans, which Verizon Wireless said will be available until Dec. 31, are priced the same and include the same services as its current Nationwide single line and Family SharePlan offerings, but with the addition of the unlimited calling to mobile devices for no additional charge.
Verizon Wireless added that customers in the eligible markets can switch to the new plans without extending their existing contracts.
The plans are similar to Sprint Nextel Corp.’s (S) Any Mobile, Anytime offering that it launched just over a year ago.
