Alliances: WiSpry, DoCoMo team on filters; SmartTrust, Red Bend complete interoperability testing; and more

WiSpry Inc. said it signed an agreement with NTT DoCoMo Inc. to jointly develop tunable filters for mobile phone applications based on WiSpry’s RF-MEMS technology. The agreement calls for both companies to cooperate and combine expertise to design and deveop new and enhanced tunable filters. WiSpry will contribute tunable RF-MEMS technology and DoCoMo will provide system and application technology.
Azimuth Systems Inc., which provides wireless channel emulators and broadband wireless test equipment, said MindTree Ltd. has chosen its ACE MX MIMO channel emulator to test its Next in Wireless product line. The company will use the ACE MX universal wireless channel emulator primarily for 4×4 bi-directional LTE and WiMAX testing.
SmartTrust and Red Bend Software announced they have completed interoperability testing of their products. SmartTrust develops SIM and Mobile Device Management software for mobile operators. Red Bend provides mobile software management products. The companies said the interoperability will give network operators the ability to add new features and applications over the air to handsets and machine-to-machine modules.
