Movers and Shakers : Faleiro to lead billtoMobile; Savi taps Clark as CMO; and more

Savi Technology, which is a Lockheed Martin company, announced William Clark has joined the company as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. He will be responsible for all marketing functions at the company, including market and product strategies, go-to-market activities, branding, communications, analyst relations, public relations and demand generation. Clark joins the company from Deltek Inc. where he was executive vice president and CMO.
Aylus Networks appointed Mark Edwards as its new CEO. Edwards most recently was CEO of Mformation Technologies Inc.
Mobile payments company BilltoMobile added Warren Faleiro as vice president of engineering and technology, and Madhura Belani as senior director of product and marketing. Belani joins the company from Offerpal Media, where she was director of product management. Faleiro most recently was vice president of multimedia applications at VeriSign Inc.
Scanbuy Inc. said it added Dennis Carey, vice chairman at Korn/Ferry International, as member of its board of directors.
AirWalk Communications named Chris Yenney vice president of business development and marketing. He will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and strategic relationships with CDMA operators and OEM partners. Yenney previously led the launch of Sprint Nextel’s commercial CDMA femtocell network.
Solzon Corp., which provides data mobility solutions and services, said Brian Kolek is its new president and CTO. Kolek, who founded the company 15 years ago, is also now its sole owner after purchasing the equity interest of partner Philip Przybyszewski.
Airband Communiations and Sparkplug Communications, both fixed-wireless companies, announced they completed their merger and provided details about the combined company’s management team. The company said Michael Ruley, formerly Sparkplug’s CEO, will become CEO of Airband. Tim Kinnear, formerly CEO of Airband will become the company’s CFO. The remainder of the executive team consists of Jeff Owens, CTO; Jim Dabramo, executive vice president of sales; Jennifer Mao, vice president of marketing; and Daman Wood, vice president of wholesale markets.
JNS Towers L.L.C. promoted Kim McDonnell to vice president of operations, where she will have primary responsibility for overseeing all tower development work for the company. McDonnell joined the company in 2007 as director of client relations.
Alcatel-Lucent appointed Munish Seth as country head for its Indian businesses. Seth succeeds Vivek Mohan, who has taken over as head of the company’s global services business. Previously, Seth led customer solutions and support for ALU’s Asia-Pacific region.
Gabriel Charlet, a researcher at Bell Labs, has been recognized by the MIT Technology Review as a top innovator under the age of 35. Charlet received the honor for his research in optical networking systems based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology.
