Nokia Siemens Networks scored a service contract to expand Telefonica O2 Germany’s network. Financial details of the contract were not released.
The contract calls for Nokia Siemens to provide network implementation, project management and logistics to update current deployments by Nokia Siemens in the country. The deal also calls for an extension of an existing supplier contract for 2G and 3G technology.
Telefonica O2 Germany is currently participating in Germany’s “4G” spectrum auction.
