AT&T Mobility signed a two-year, $2 million agreement with Acosta Sales & Marketing , which gives more than 3,000 Acosta retail merchandisers access to HTC Tilt 2 mobile devices for merchandising applications.
CelleBrite said it has partnered with Handmark to deliver its CelleSync over-the-air mobile transfer and backup solution to smart phone users. According to the agreement, Handmark will offer the CelleSync application through its mobile and online distribution channels. CelleSync allows users to back up data stored on their phone and synchronize it over the air.
Skype said it teamed up with Score to help accelerate small business growth through access to broadband technology. The new initiative focuses on increasing digital literacy, Web skills, e-commerce capabilities and online communications for small businesses.
Verizon Wireless and mobile device recycler CWG L.L.C. teamed up to encourage consumers to recycle their cell phones at Verizon Wireless stores. The phones will be recycled through Verizon’s HopeLine program, which benefits and supports survivors of domestic violence.
Digital entertainment solutions provider Widevine said Funai Electric Co. Ltd. will incorporate the company’s adaptive streaming, virtual DVD/Blu-ray-like controls and DRM solutions on Internet-connected devices. Funai makes electronics under the Philips, Magnavox, Sylvania and Emerson brands.
