Sprint Nextel Corp. said it plans to hire 200 people at its Rio Ranchero, N.M., customer contact center. The carrier held a job fair on March 19 to try to hire people. The carrier also will be at the “Gobs of Jobs Career Fair” in Albuquerque on Tuesday.
“These are increasingly difficult times for job-seekers throughout our country, so Sprint is thrilled to be able to provide career opportunities for many families in Rio Rancho and the surrounding areas,” said Craig Jantzi, director of the Sprint Rio Rancho Contact Center. “We are exceptionally pleased that we’re also able to positively impact the local economy by expanding our center, all while servicing our customers with talented and qualified working professionals from this area.”
The new hires will be offered competitive salaries and benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), performance bonuses of up to $3,000 a month, free use of an on-site fitness center, and participation in Sprint’s employee wireless phone program.
