Brightpoint Inc. will serve as an Online Master Dealer for T-Mobile USA Inc., the companies announced.
The deal allows Brightpoint-approved customers to offer and sell T-Mobile USA wireless services through Brightpoint’s online activation product. Brightpoint will use Synchronoss Technologies’ ConvergenceNow platform to handle the activations. Brightpoint said in a press release today that the Nokia USA Web site will be an initial client to employ the program with T-Mobile.
“The ability to provide T-Mobile wireless service is a very significant addition to our on-line program,” said J. Mark Howell, president of Brightpoint Americas.
This news comes shortly after Brightpoint’s announcement that it will cut 220 jobs to save money.
