The GSM Association announced the winners of its 14th Annual Global Mobile Awards at a gala dinner this week in Barcelona.
Comedian Michael McIntyre hosted the event at the National Palace.
Among the winners were Gameloft for best mobile game with its Real Football 2009; BBC iPlayer on Mobile for best mobile music or video service; Turkcell for best mobile advertising service; and MobiTV for best Mobile TV service.
Other winners were:
–Vodafone for best mobile enterprise product or service with its Vodafone Global Enterprise;
–Nokia for best mobile Internet service with its Nokia Sports Tracker offering;
–Safaricom and Vodafone for best mobile money service with their M-PESA service;
–INQ for best mobile device with its INQ1;
–KT Freetel for best broadcast commercial with its ‘Show is’ campaign;
–Nokia Siemens Networks for best network technology advance with its Flexi Multimode BTS software-defined HSPA/LTE;
–Research In Motion for best technology breakthrough with its BlackBerry Storm 9500 SurePress screen.
