Google Inc. is helping giddy kids keep on eye on Santa with its mobile mapping application.
The Internet giant has integrated Google Maps for mobile with the annual Santa-tracking offering from NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command), allowing users to launch the app and search for “norad santa” to access the chief elf’s whereabouts. Kringle’s location around the world is updated every few minutes via NORAD radar.
“Now, no matter where you are, you can track Santa and his reindeer directly from your mobile device,” Google software engineer Bruno Bowden posted on the company’s mobile blog.
