WiMAX
–Macedonia: Alvarion said Neotel is deploying the company’s 4Motion solution throughout Macedonia. The network, operating in the 3.5 GHz band, will provide business and residential users with broadband data and voice services.
Miscellaneous
–Vietnam: Ericsson said it signed a contract with Hanoi Telecom to modernize the carrier’s nationwide network. The contract is valued at $450 million. The three-year managed services agreement calls for Ericsson to be responsible for the management, operation and network design of Hanoi Telecom’s wireless network.
