Online real estate site Trulia.Inc adds to mobile offering

Real-estate startup Trulia.Inc expanded its mobile offerings, adding downloadable mobile applications for agents, home owners and house hunters.
A 4-year-old site that claims 5 million monthly users, Trulia.com directs users to listings on agent and broker Web sites. The outfit unveiled mobile versions of its service for smartphones including Apple Inc.’s iPhone, Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.’s BlackJack as well as several feature phones.
The offerings allow users to search homes for sale via an interactive local map, and to access property details including color photos and information on open-house events.
“We are experiencing an extremely turbulent time in the housing market,” said CEO Pete Flint. “Millions of consumers are turning to Trulia to make informed real estate decisions. “At Trulia, our mission is to deliver unique local insight to consumers when they want, how they want it and where they want it. Today’s launch is a big step in this direction.”
