Verizon Wireless is set to open up existing text message bundles and benefits to prepaid customers. Starting July 14th prepaid customers can get unlimited text, picture and video messaging to Verizon Wireless customers, plus get an additional 250 text, picture and video messages to non-Verizon Wireless customers for $10 per month.
Verizon Wireless’ INpulse prepaid plans currently offer texting for 10 cents, five cents or two cents per message depending on the selected plan. All three plans, INpulse Core, INpulse Plus and INpulse Power, include unlimited calling to other Verizon Wireless numbers and only charge the daily access fees on days used.
This could be a thrifty move for the carrier, especially in light of the many struggling mobile virtual network operatorss. INpulse customers interested in adding the new messaging bundles can do so over their phone, online or at Verizon Wireless retail stores.
