Leap Wireless International Inc. announced plans to hire 100 new employees as it expands its Cricket service into the St. Louis market.
The carrier said it is seeking local candidates for positions including retail sales representatives, indirect account managers, assistant retail business managers and retail business managers. Cricket said it will fill 150 more positions through its dealer partners, “many of which will also be opening new stores” in the St. Louis area.
“We are looking to build our team with local St. Louis talent, and we are actively recruiting in the community to fill several positions,” said Dan Fowler, area general manager for Cricket. “Cricket’s launch of affordable wireless services means economic growth for our community and reliable wireless service for people previously underserved.”
Leap saw its shares jump two months ago after it reported increased customer adds and reduced churn during the previous quarter. Leap also operates Jump Mobile prepaid services.
