Venture capital financing wrap-up: Kyte, Pudding Media and SoonR

The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.

Kyte: Telefonica led a $15 million round of funding into Kyte. Also participating were Nokia Growth Partners, DoCoMoCapital Inc., Swisscom, Holtzbrinck Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. The company said it will use the funding to further develop and distribute its social communications platform. The Kyte service is operated by decentral.tv, a San Francisco-based company.

Pudding Media: Opus Capital and BRM Capital invested $8 million in Series A funding into voice monetization company Pudding Media. The San Jose-based company said it will use the funding to expand its product suite of advertising solutions covering mobile carriers, VoIP operators and Web voice applications.

SoonR: Cisco led a $9.5 million Series B round of funding into SoonR, which makes a mobile platform targeted at mobile professionals. The funding will be used to help the company expand its mobile platform and advance its partner-driven distribution strategy. Existing investors Intel Capital and Clearstone Venture Partners also participated in the funding round. Total investment in the two-year-old company stands at $15.5 million.
