The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Celltick: JVP and Amadeus invested $8.5 million into mobile marketing company Celltick Technologies. The company said the venture-capital funding will be used to accelerate delivery of a managed service offering that builds on its LiveScreenMedia platform.
–Iovation: Intel Capital invested $10 million into iovation, which provides online security and fraud prevention services, as part of a $15 million total investment round into the company. The company said it will use the funding to accelerate delivery and deployment of its products as well as to broaden its intellectual property portfolio.
–ViVOtech: Motorola Inc. made an equity investment of an undisclosed amount into ViVotech Inc., which develops contactless and mobile-phone payment technologies. The investment was made through the Motorola Ventures strategic venture-capital division.
