The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Inrix: August Capital, Bain Capital Ventures and Venrock led a $15 million Series C funding round into Inrix, which provides traffic flow information in the United States. Inrex said it will use the funding to accelerate deployment of its technology and to expand into international markets.
–mFoundry: Motorola Ventures led a $15 million Series C round of funding into mobile financial services company mFoundry. Also joining the funding round were PayPal, NCR Corp. and an undisclosed wireless operator.
–MoGreet: DFJ Frontier invested $1.2 million in venture capital into mobile video messaging company MoGreet, which is still in stealth mode. DFJ Frontier, an affiliate of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, added MoGreet to its portfolio in August.
–SinglePipe: Chrysalis Ventures led a $2.5 million equity funding round into SinglePipe Communications Inc., which provides residential and business VoIP services. Meritus Ventures L.P. also participated in the funding.
–Solarflare: Hercules Technology Growth Capital Inc. said it provided $15 million of venture debt during the third quarter to Solarflare Communications Inc., which develops 10 Gigabit Ethernet technologies.
