Southeastern wireless provider Cellular South has introduced a new flat-rate plan that includes unlimited calls and data services.
The carrier’s True Unlimited Plan costs $80 per month for phones and $100 per month for PDA devices or smartphones. The offering includes unlimited local and long distance calls-though half of calls must be made from the carrier’s home network, text messages, photo messages, e-mails and mobile Internet access, according to the company. The company already offers multiple flat-rate plans for local calling and wireless data, but its new unlimited plan combines the services into one offering.
According to Suzy Hays, senior VP of marketing for Cellular South, more than 25% of the privately-held carrier’s customers “opt to eliminate their landline due to our flat-rate wireless plans and network reliability.”
Cellular South also recently completed a multi-city trial of its WirelessWallet m-commerce solution and plans to launch the product commercially early next year.
