AT&T Inc. reported an agreement with Eurpean Wi-Fi provider The Cloud that adds more than 9,000 Wi-Fi locations available to its customers traveling in the United Kingdom, Germany and Scandinavian countries.
Following the deal, AT&T’s worldwide Wi-Fi service now comprises more than 57,000 hot spots in 83 countries, with more than 28,000 access points across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Cloud’s 9,000 hot spots include 7,600 across the United Kingdom, 900 in Germany and 500 in Scandinavia.
“AT&T is committed to continue to expand its Enterprise Mobility portfolio which will provide our customers with flexible Wi-Fi to access corporate networks and stay in touch with the home or the office anywhere and at any time,” said John Slamecka, VP of AT&T’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
AT&T’s Wi-Fi footprint is available to enterprise, small business and residential customers based on qualifying service plans.
