British mobile gaming company Cometa Wireless Gaming Systems announced it received nearly $2 million in its first round of funding. Mfusion led the investment.
“We are delighted to be working with Mfusion. Their commercial experience and knowledge of the gaming and mobile phone industries will be crucial in our next phase of growth,” Cometa CEO Rob Anderson said.
Following the infusion of capital, the company also announced it was rebranding itself from Cometa Games to Cometa Wireless Gaming Systems. The company, which focuses on casino-style games for the mobile platform, was founded in 2004. Its portfolio of games includes Blackjack, Joker Poker, Casino Roulette, Cops and Robbers, Adders and Ladders and Bingo.
Cometa said it is in the late stage of negotiations with gaming businesses to draw up distribution arrangements.
