Wilson introduces amplifiers

Wilson Electronics released its Wilson Signalboost, a dual-band amplifier that works with all cellular and PCS carriers and has up to 3 watts of output power, which can increase the cellular signal from 10 to 15 times. “This new Signalboost amplifier has been carefully engineered to significantly improve the performance of your cell phone and laptop data card in both vehicle and home/office applications”, said Walt Brooks, Wilson retail sales manager.
The amplifier comes with a universal-connect signal adapter, a six-foot extension cable and a cigarette lighter DC power supply for vehicle use.
In addition, the company is showing a SOHO dual-band, cellular/PCS amplifier that improves the signal in the 800 MHz band by 50 decibels and also improves the signal in the 1900 MHz band by 50 decibels allowing for multiple phones and carriers to be amplified at the same time. This in-building amplifier is available to customers in several different configurations for mobile use in recreation vehicles and marine craft, as well as building use in home offices , apartments, hotels and high-rise offices.
Finally, the company announced a new direct connection, high-power iDEN signal amplifier that produces significantly less signal distortion for cell phone and data card users on Nextel, SouthernLINC, Mike and Motorola private iDEN systems. Wilson’s new high-power amplifier improves signal quality by channeling signals though a 16-watt capable signal booster designed to transmit at up to 3-watts of power with high linearity and a maximum RF output of 5 watts.
