Cellular South announced it promoted four of its vice presidents to senior vice president positions. Suzy Hays was promoted to senior vice president of customer operations, where she will oversee overall marketing, branding, advertising and public-relations strategies. She has been with the company for 15 years. Tony Kent has been promoted to SVP of engineering and network operations with responsibility for engineering, building and operating the company’s networks. He has been with the company for 12 years. Greg Latour was promoted to SVP of technology development, where he will be responsible for corporate information technology and technology planning. He has been with the company for eight years. Sherry Stegall was promoted to the position of SVP. She is responsible for quality assurance programs, audit and compliance activities and government relations. She has been with the company for 12 years.

WiMAX provider Towerstream appointed William Bush and Paul Koehler to its board of directors. Bush is an executive officer of Handheld Entertainment Inc. Koehler is vice president of business development at Pacific Ethanol Inc.
Vantrix
Vantrix Corp., a mobile content company, named Manish Jha as its new CEO. Jha most recently was senior vice president and general manager of ESPN Mobile, where he led the company’s mobile efforts.
LimeLife
Wireless content publisher LimeLife Inc. appointed Jimmy Giliberti as senior vice president of engineering and Tim Sharp as senior vice president of product management. Giliberti joins the company from Mforma, where he was VP of engineering. Sharp most recently was vice president of production and programming at Weathernews America.
Valmont
Valmont Industries said Paul Michaud has joined the company as a regional sales manager. Michaud will be responsible for Valmont’s central region. He has more than 20 years of sales experience in the wireless industry.
Telmar
Telmar Network Technology Inc. named Steven Pickett to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Pickett joins Telmar from Alcatel-Lucent, where he was senior VP of and general manager of its optical network division.
iSuppli
Francis Sideco joined iSuppli Corp.’s Wireless Systems service as a senior analyst. Sideco will be responsible for the company’s analysis of the wireless communications supply chain and researching trends in the mobile phones, networks and semiconductor areas. Sideco joins the company from Comarco Inc., where he was a product marketing manager.

Handset refurbisher MicroCell Communications said it added Bjorn Engstrom as its new director of GSM development.
