PlayPhone said it will offer mobile content from online “phenomenon” Ms. Peachez to the fans she earned with her video posts on video-networking site YouTube.com. PlayPhone inked an exclusive agreement with Ms. Peachez to distribute her latest releases including music videos and wallpapers.
Fans of the bright-blue wigged artist known for tunes like “Fry Dat Chicken” can now access her growing catalog on a mobile platform developed by PlayPhone, the company said.
“Ms. Peachez and other emerging online artists have really strong followings, and PlayPhone.com is in the business of putting consumers together with the mobile media they want,” PlayPhone CEO Ron Czerny said. “With the ability to publish your own music videos on sites such as YouTube, it seemed like a natural segue for PlayPhone to allow fans to access Ms. Peachez on the go.”
