GoTV to bring Emmy’s to mobile

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif.-Wireless video provider GoTV Networks said it planned to broadcast made-for-mobile news coverage of Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

The company plans to conduct red-carpet interviews with celebrities and offer reports from pre- and post-ceremony events and receptions. The content will be available throughout the week and be featured on two of the network’s on-demand premium subscription channels, which are offered at $5 and $6 a month.

GoTV develops its own content exclusively for mobile phones; the company also produces mobile versions of content from partners including ABC News, Sony BMG Entertainment and ESPN. Cingular Wireless L.L.C., Sprint Nextel Corp. and Boost Mobile L.L.C. carry GoTV’s offerings.

“Fans can expect all of the glamour and excitement of TV’s biggest night to be delivered with our trademark attitude and style,” said Daniel Tibbets, executive vice president of GoTV Studios.
