WASHINGTON-LG Electronics Co. Ltd. hopes to capitalize on the holiday shopping season with a new Internet storefront.
The Korean electronics manufacturer launched www.lgusa.com, which offers LG’s entire line of mobile phones with services from Cingular Wireless L.L.C., Sprint Nextel Corp., Verizon Wireless, Alltel Corp., Metro PCS and U.S. Cellular Corp. The site also offers other LG wares including computers, appliances and home entertainment equipment.
“The launch of the online store represents an energizing leap forward for LG,” said Jon Maron, director of marketing for LG. “We’re now able to offer our customers, whether they are devoted LG users or newcomers exploring the products for the first time, a more complete consumer experience with direct access to everything LG MobileComm has to offer.”
LG tapped online marketer InPhonic Inc. to power the store. InPhonic also provides back-end support for mobile virtual network operators.
