Vivotech, which provides contactless payment solutions, said it raised $18.25 million in its series B funding round. The funding was led by Draper Fisher Jurveston and included participation from Nokia Growth Partners, DFJ Gotham and Alloy Ventures. Vivotech’s platform allows consumers to make contactless payments with radio-frequency-enabled credit cards, debit cards, key fobs, cell phones, personal digital assistants and identity cards.
Roamware Inc., which provides mobile roaming solutions, said it raised $14 million in a series C round of financing. Proceeds of the funding round will be used to enhance the company’s product line and strengthen global operations, said Roamware. The funding was co-led by Accretive Technology Partners, Doll Capital Management and Shelter Capital Partners.
Sennari Entertainment, which provides mobile entertainment and loyalty applications, closed a $5 million round of series B funding. Leading the round was UV Partners. Previous investors Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Blacksmith Capital also participated. The funding will be used to further build out Sennari’s mobile loyalty platform, as well as its PrizePlay and Blingadero Rewards services. Carl Ledbetter, a general partner at UV Partners, will join Sennari’s board of directors as part of the investment.
mPortal, a mobile content and applications enabler, said it secured $4 million in new funding from Friedli Corporate Finance, which is a Swiss venture-capital firm. The funding will go toward product enhancements of its Springboard Mobile Content Delivery Server and Springboard Mobile Smart Client.
