ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Broadband phone service provider Vonage Holdings Corp. and TeleCommunication Systems Inc., a location and wireless data technology provider, have teamed to begin the process of enabling public-safety answering points to handle Voice over Internet Protocol enhanced 911 calls.
Beginning this month, Vonage said it will begin sending VoIP E-911 kits to introduce the company’s E911 services to PSAPs across the country. TCS will follow up after the kits have been shipped to collect relevant PSAP data.
