Lottery operator buys wireless gaming firm Pixiem

LAS VEGAS-Lottery operator Win Win Gaming Inc. is entering the wireless arena, announcing its intent to acquire mobile entertainment publisher Pixiem Inc.

Terms of the proposed deal were not disclosed.

Win Win, which operates international lottery games, said it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to purchase the Rochelle Park, N.J.-based game-maker. Patrick Rogers, Win Win’s chief executive officer, said he hopes to initially use the acquisition to establish wireless gambling services in China.

“The proposed acquisition of Pixiem will provide us with immediate access to the explosive global wireless entertainment game market,” Rogers said. “Using this platform, we can ultimately develop lottery-related wireless games for China and, further, develop a global network to launch an international wireless lottery game.”
