TOKYO-Renesas Technology Corp. released details about its Mobile Videophone Middleware Package software. The new product adds video conferencing capability to the company’s SH-Mobile series of application processors. The software, which includes echo-canceller and noise-suppression functions, conforms to the 3G-324M third-generation mobile-phone audiovisual communications standard.
The software is scheduled to be available in May.
