Bitfone to deliver customer care to Swisscom Mobile

LAGUNA NIGUEL-Over-the-air software developer Bitfone Corp. said it has been tapped by Swisscom Mobile to deliver customer care services to the carrier’s high-end business users.

Bitfone will provide OTA device diagnostics and configuration technology during a pilot project that will initially support two new high-end devices: the Motorola MPX220 and the QTEK 9090, both of which run Microsoft PC and Smartphone operating systems. The service will automatically interrogate the software, hardware and configuration status of the phone, diagnosing and repairing glitches over-the-air.

“Our new bundled solutions for business users will offer pre-loaded applications, pre-configured device settings for e-mail and Internet access, and other advanced services,” said Lukas Fluri, project manager at Swisscom Mobile.
