Lightbridge to shutter Colo. call center

BURLINGTON, Mass.-Lightbridge Inc. said it will close a Colorado call center and eliminate 40 jobs by the end of the month.

The e-commerce company said it will shutter the offices of the Broomfield center and redistribute the business to other Lightbridge facilities. The staffing cuts represent 8 percent of the company’s total call center workforce.

“We continually look to gain efficiencies in our business while maintaining a high level of service to our clients,” said Bob Donahue, Lightbridge’s president and chief executive officer. “The consolidation of the call centers will allow Lightbridge to take advantage of our existing infrastructure and operate more efficiently.”
