VIENNA, Austria-Nortel Networks Ltd. won a contract to replace T-Mobile Austria’s existing packet core network with a GPRS network. Nortel did not disclose the value of the contract but said it now provides GPRS platforms to five of T-Mobile International’s European subsidiaries.
Nortel said the gear will allow T-Mobile Austria to deploy content-aware services like flexible billing and provides a foundation for third-generation evolution.
