VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Sierra Wireless said it has agreed to supply Symbol Technologies’ mobile computers with its CDMA2000 1x modules. The modules, known as EM3420, will be embedded in Symbol’s MC9000 series handhelds.
“By maintaining network connectivity and exercising full integration capabilities with Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 software for smart phones, the embedded modules provide access to network applications and data such as bar-code scanning in real time,” said Sierra Wireless.
