FRAMINGHAM, Mass.-Lucent Technologies Inc. said it is partnering with NMS Communications to design and build advanced optical voice processors for use in next-generation wireless networks.
The companies expect the solution to be deployed next year.
The solution will minimize distractions from outside noise such as those caused by traffic or crowds.
“Advanced signal processing improves call clarity and quality, which is important to customers who are then more likely to use their mobile phones,” said the companies.
