OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint said it will sell a revised version of its PCS Vision Picture Phone SCP-8100 built by Sanyo, a device that includes an improved screen, built-in flash and supports Sprint’s Ready Link push-to-talk service. The phone will sell for $130 with rebates.

“The Sprint PCS Vision Picture Phone PM-8200 by Sanyo is a new and improved version of the popular Sprint PCS Vision Picture Phone SCP-8100 by Sanyo, one of the best-selling phones in Sprint’s history,” said John Garcia, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Sprint. “By partnering with a manufacturer known for making not only high-quality mobile phones, but digital cameras and camcorders, Sprint is confident we will continue to lead the U.S. mobile-pictures market.”

Sprint said the device is its 10th integrated camera phone.

Separately, Western Wireless Corp. said it will sell the Slider Series SE44 mobile phone from Kyocera Wireless Corp. for $100 with a two-year service agreement. The device, similar to Kyocera models available through Verizon Wireless and Virgin Mobile, features analog and CDMA digital functionality.
