SAN JOSE, Calif.- A-GPS technology provider Global Locate Inc. announced industry veteran George Schmitt will join its board of directors.
Schmitt has spent more than 35 years in the telecommunications industry inlcuding in executive positions at Omnipoint Communications, Mannesmann (now Vodafone Germany), Pacific Telesis, AirTouch Communications Inc. and PCS PrimeCo L.P.
Schmitt also served as a chairman of the GSM Association and was honored in 2002 by the GSM Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the GSM industry. He also serves on the boards of Megisto Systems, Telesoft Partners, Teleworx, Websoft Developers and Affinity Inc.
