NEW YORK-Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services affirmed its ‘B-‘ corporate credit rating and stable outlook on Nextel Partners Inc., and citing a high debt leverage, assigned a ‘CCC+’ rating on the carrier’s recently announced $125 million senior notes offering.
“The ratings on Nextel Partners reflect its high debt leverage and negative free cash flow prospects in the near term,” said Michael Tsao, credit analyst at S&P.
