Tel-Air Interests, Adversoft provide pageant information via wireless alerts

HOLLYWOOD, Fla.-Are you dying to know which Miss Florida USA 2004 contestant will win the bathing suit competition? Well, fear no more.

Thanks to a deal between Tel-Air Interests Inc. and mobile marketing company Adversoft Inc., wireless users can be kept up-to-the-minute on all the pageant action through wireless alerts and a camera-phone photo service.

Those interested can opt-in to www.missfloridausa.com to receive text messaging updates and trivia questions, and those with capable phones can even receive pictures of the various contestants.

“As society becomes increasingly mobile, more and more organizations are realizing that communicating via cell phone is a great way to initiate an interactive dialogue with an audience that has authorized contact to be made,” said Tim Solt, senior vice president of Adversoft.

In other wireless advertising news, M-Qube released its new messaging platform that the company said allows businesses to implement a range of short message service, WAP and instant messaging applications.

“Up to now, no single messaging solution could provide the depth and breadth necessary to implement two-way messaging programs simultaneously across virtually all major wireless carriers and Internet messaging applications, such as e-mail and instant messaging,” said Jeffrey Glass, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “Effective immediately, M-Qube can provide exactly that to the growing roster of businesses looking for powerful and cost-effective new ways to reach customers in the medium of their own choice, at the time and place most convenient for them.”
