WASHINGTON-Applications are now being accepted by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration for the Technology Opportunity grant Program. The deadline is April 23.
“This program demonstrates ways to use information technologies to spur innovation, encourage competition, help create jobs and provide consumers with better quality telecommunications services,” said Nancy Victory, assistant Commerce secretary for communications and information.
Applicants should demonstrate how their project would showcase how the public and nonprofit sectors can use telecommunications and information technologies to extend valuable services to all Americans, according to an announcement released by NTIA.
Approximately $12.4 million will be awarded, said NTIA.
