NEW YORK-Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services lowered its corporate credit rating on iPCS Inc. from ‘CC’ to ‘D’ and removed the carrier from CreditWatch following iPCS’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing earlier this week.
S&P said iPCS’ parent company AirGate PCS Inc.’s credit rating was not affected.
