CANNES, France-RAD Data Communications, which manufactures equipment for data communications and telecommunications applications, will exhibit its new Vmux-2100 compressed voice gateway at this year’s 3GSM World Congress.
“In order to ease their 3G investments, cellular operators have to reduce current expenditures on 2G networks as much as possible by making their existing backhaul and core network more efficient,” explained Gaby Junowicz of RAD. “By deploying the Vmux-2100, they will dramatically cut their expenses by reducing the number of E1 links that are leased to connect MSC switches.”
