BELLEVUE, Wash.-T-Mobile USA Inc. said it added 1.017 million net customers during the fourth quarter of 2002, including 1.078 million net contract subscribers that now make up 86 percent of the carrier’s 9.9 million subscriber base at the end of the year. T-Mobile USA finished 2002 with 2.9 million net customer additions, taking into account the loss of 465,000 prepaid customers.
T-Mobile also reported its contract customer churn fell from 3.3 percent during the fourth quarter of 2001 to 2.45 percent during the final three months of 2002.
