The second Worldwide Wardrive, a movement that poses risks to the security of WLAN access points and networks, is scheduled to occur from Oct. 26 through Nov. 2.
Wardriving, according to www.wardrivingisnotacrime.com is defined as “the benign act of locating and logging wireless access points while in motion,” and is practiced by hobbyists, hackers and security analysts.
The event prompted ReefEdge to issue a release reminding WLAN users to download security software solutions to protect their networks.
