Open Source Development Lab seeks feedback on Web site

NEW YORK-The Open Source Development Lab, Beaverton, Ore., a vendor-neutral non-profit organization dedicated to enabling Linux and Linux-based programming for enterprise and carrier-class functionality worldwide, has posted materials for open source developer community feedback on its Web site at www.developer.osdl.org

In its June 28 announcement, the Lab encouraged interested parties to view and comment on these newly released documents: Carrier Grade Technical Scope White Paper; Linux Requirements Definition V0.5; Validation Framework V0.5.

“Opening the developer Web site is important because the technology platform will greatly assist with automating the processes of building, testing and bug-tracking Carrier Grade Linux,” said Mika Kukkonen, OSDL Carrier-Grade Linux Roadmap Coordinator.

The Open Source Development Lab’s 22 member companies include Alcatel, Caldera, Cisco Systems, Computer Associates, Dell Corp., L.M. Ericsson, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard Co., Fujitsu, Miracle Linux Corp., Mitsubishi Electric, MontaVista Software, NEC Corp., Nokia Corp., Red Hat, SuSE, Toshiba and VA Software.
