ORLANDO, Fla.—Cingular Wireless unveiled its e-storefront service on its My Wireless Window portal, allowing customers to purchase applications enabled for mobile phones, personal digital assistants and other devices that operate on its network from the Internet.
Cingular noted most consumer applications are available for under $5 and the majority of business solutions are priced under $100 and that applications can be purchased with a credit card or in some cases charged directly to a customer’s Cingular phone bill.
Cingular also announced an alliance with Computer Associates International Inc. to provide wirelessly enabled enterprise service desk solutions that will operate across Cingular’s voice and data networks. Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
