MILPITAS, Calif.—Contract electronic manufacturer Solectron says it is negotiating a deal to buy Lucent Technologies Inc.’ specialized equipment and usable inventory for between $250 million and $290 million.
In a statement, Solectron said an agreement is not guaranteed.
