Toshiba licenses ARM processor

TOKYO—Toshiba Corp. says it has licensed the ARM926EJ-S core processor for wireless applications such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants.

ARM, which provides embedded RISC microprocessor, said the technology runs diverse platform operating systems, such as Linux, Palm OS, Windows CE and Symbian OS.
